Gulf Coast Times is looking to highlight locally owned businesses across Brazoria County as part of its growing local business coverage.

The publication is seeking business owners who want to share their story, explain what they offer and help local readers learn more about the people behind the businesses serving their communities.

The effort is focused on locally owned businesses, not major chains or national franchises.

Restaurants, shops, service companies, food trucks, home-based businesses, family-owned operations, creative businesses, contractors, salons, boutiques, repair services and other local ventures are encouraged to reach out.

The goal is to spotlight businesses in communities across Brazoria County, including Freeport, Clute, Lake Jackson, Surfside Beach, Angleton, Brazoria, West Columbia, Sweeny and nearby areas.

Business features may include how the business started, who owns or operates it, what products or services are offered, what challenges the business has faced and what local support means to the owner.

Gulf Coast Times is also interested in businesses with upcoming milestones, expansions, anniversaries, new services, community involvement or unique stories that residents may not know.

Local business owners help shape the identity of their communities. From small restaurants and local shops to service providers and family-run operations, these businesses often serve as gathering places, employers and sources of community pride.

The business spotlight series is intended to give readers a closer look at those stories while helping locally owned businesses connect with the community.

Business owners who would like to be considered should contact Gulf Coast Times through the Contact Us page.

Submissions should include the business name, location, what the business does, how it got started and the best way to contact the owner or manager for follow-up.

Photos may also be submitted for possible use. Businesses should only send photos they own or have permission to share.

Not every submission can be guaranteed a feature, but Gulf Coast Times will review local business stories for possible coverage as the site continues to grow.

Business owners can submit information at GulfCoastTimes.com/contact-us.
