LAKE JACKSON, Texas — Community members are being asked to help more than two dozen residents reportedly displaced by a fire at 132 Oyster Creek Drive in Lake Jackson.
According to a community appeal circulating online, the fire affected 13 families and displaced 26 people, including nine children.
Organizers are seeking donations of:
- Cl
- othing and shoes
- Baby supplies
- Blankets and toiletries
- Nonperishable food and water
- Gift cards
- Other household essentials
The cause of the fire, the extent of the damage and whether anyone was injured were not included in the community post. Donation drop-off information was also not immediately provided.
Residents interested in assisting should verify collection details with the original organizer before delivering or sending donations.
