ANGLETON, Texas — Former Sweeny Fire Chief Timothy Dale Webb Sr. will remain behind bars following a bond hearing Thursday after a judge denied bond on two of the six felony counts against him.
The judge ordered no bond on counts one and two.
Bond was set on the remaining counts as follows:
- Count three: $150,000
- Count four: $150,000
- Count five: $100,000
- Count six: $50,000
Witnesses testify on Webb's behalf
Several witnesses testified on Webb's behalf during Thursday's hearing, including:
- Devin Lemon, current chief of Sweeny Fire and Rescue
- Angie Webb, the wife of Webb
- Dan Webb, Webb's brother
- Jessica Jacoby, Webb's daughter
- One of Webb's nieces
The witnesses addressed the court as the judge considered whether bond should be established and under what conditions Webb could potentially be released.
Webb faces six felony charges
Webb was arrested and indicted earlier this year on six felony charges: two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of sexual assault of a child, one count of sexual assault and one count of prohibited sexual conduct.
The charges remain allegations. Webb has not been convicted, and the criminal case remains pending.
